Whatever your project, we've got you covered!

Selecting the project team

Selecting the right people to be involved with the project is crucial to its success. Having too many people involved can often slow things down. Likewise, a convoluted approval process can see projects grinding to a halt. Lastly, choosing the wrong people to work on the project (not appropriately skilled, not enough time to dedicate to the project, not enough authority to act) can end in overruns, overspends or full out project failure.

We’ll work with you to ensure that you have the right project team in place.

Agile or Waterfall - it's your call

We're experienced in running projects using either Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

Agile

Agile projects are generally fast moving and allow for changes along the way by creating phases for delivery. By working in phases, less planning time is required up front and it allows learning from the last delivery to inform the design of the next. Agile projects do require regular input from decision makers at each phase of delivery.

Waterfall

Waterfall provides detailed requirements for the whole project in advance and usually create the finished solution in full before any delivery occurs. This allows for detailed planning and decision making in advance and therefore less involvement from the project sponsor throughout the build.

Project stages

Whilst each project is unique, we run all projects using the following stages:

Initiation

Establishing the purpose and deliverables of the project, the project team, timescales/budgets and the approval process

Planning

Creating the detailed requirements for the project stage (Agile) or as a whole (Waterfall), planning resource timescales for deliverables.

Execution & monitoring

Complete the build work and monitor for quality as well as against budget and timeline.

Closure

When the project is complete, records are updates as well as any lessons learned being documented in a project closure report for the sponsor.

For Agile projects, stages 2 and 3 are repeated for each delivery phase until the overall project has completed.

Project run out of steam?

Project recovery service

Our project recovery service can help get things back on track.

We'll review your project and produce a recovery plan to get things back in order. Whilst you can implement the plan yourself, we'd recommend letting us take over management of the project.

We can provide you with a detailed review of where the project went wrong as well as training for those involved to ensure the next project goes according to plan.
